SUMMARY:Culture, Community, and Adolescent Mental Health – Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Even in the face of widespread acknowledgement, mental health remains a heavily discredited facet of the human experience. Several factors impact mental health care as well as its onset including race and ethnicity, culture and community, wealth and poverty, and age. Minority children are at a high risk of receiving inadequate mental health services which in turns decreases the chances of success in many areas of life such as school, friendships, and even self-esteem. This presentation seeks explore the mental health disparities amongst minority adolescents and its effect on the quality of life children deserve.\n
