Clinical Therapist
Job Summary:
This position will provide telehealth trauma and opioid/substance use disorder counseling to DV/SA survivors.
Program Overview:
The Tennessee Coalition Opioid Abatement Program will be a threefold initiative that includes prevention, education, and treatment to address this need. Primary prevention activities will include the creation and dissemination of educational materials, as well as training and support for prevention professionals. The Coalition will provide education and technical assistance to local domestic violence and sexual assault programs across Tennessee to improve their capacity to serve survivors with Opioid Use Disorder and co-occurring issues. Direct services will include free, statewide telehealth and recovery groups for DV/SA survivors that focus on trauma, opioid, and substance use.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide telehealth trauma and opioid/substance use disorder counseling to DV/SA providers referred through local programs.
- Telehealth counseling may include mental health support services and other treatment and recovery support services.
- Will maintain a 20-25 person caseload providing services to at least 50 people a year across the state.
- May provide online recovery group support.
- Expand warm hand-off services to transition to recovery services.
- Document all sessions and maintain compliance with HIPAA standards and confidentiality.
All Staff Duties:
- Serves as a leader to ensure strong communications between TCEDSV and all external constituents.
- Follows and supports policies and procedures of TCEDSV.
- Actively seeks to learn the history of TCEDSV.
- Supports and promotes the mission of TCEDSV.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Three plus years of experience in a clinical/counseling environment.
- Master’s in social work or related mental health field required.
- Expertise in trauma and domestic/sexual violence and substance abuse.
- Experience with telehealth counseling delivery.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Supports the mission, vision, and strategic goals of TCEDSV to serve both internal and external customers.
- Conducts self in a professional manner; maintains appropriate professional appearance.
- Participates as a team member utilizing a collaborative style to achieve mutual goals.
- HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal, organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- Creativity and self-initiative.

Work Environment:
TCEDSV operates primarily through a remote work environment. This position requires the ability to conduct telehealth services on a confidential basis through the use of private office space within the home or other remote work sites. The incumbent will be required to reside in Tennessee and be able to travel for business purposes to Nashville or other parts of the state on an occasional basis including some overnight travel. The schedule is established for the position by the CEO and CAO of TCEDSV.

Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds. Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time. Good manual dexterity with the ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist motions. Ability to manage multiple tasks as assigned and handle stressful situations. Works in the typical office environment. The noise level is usually moderate.
Comments: This position is considered light work with repetitive motion.
