Per TN state law, non-profit, domestic violence organizations who would like to offer in-person Domestic Violence Awareness training for barbers and hairdressers, must complete the below application form to request approval from the TN Coalition. Only non-profit domestic violence organizations are qualified for approval. Please email training@tncoalition.org with questions.

Please enter the length of your training. By law, Domestic Violence Awareness Trainings for Cosmetologist and Barbers should not exceed one hour.

Individuals applying for licensure will be required to supply a copy of their training certificate to the Department of Commerce and Insurance in the event they are selected for audit.

Agencies must agree to keep a data base or excel spreadsheet listing the training attendees’ name, contact information, and the date they attended the training in the event an attendee loses their certification and requests a new one.
