Trauma, Healing, and Substance Abuse Prevention

Trauma and substance use are deeply connected. Many individuals struggling with opioid use have experienced DV/SA, increasing their vulnerability to substance use disorders. Abusers may use opioids as a means of coercion and control, deepening cycles of harm.
