Toward Safety: The 2025 Tennessee Report on Domestic Violence

Published by the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence, Toward Safety marks the Coalition’s first annual report tracking domestic violence homicides across the state. Drawing from media, law enforcement, and advocate data, the report documents 37 confirmed domestic violence–related deaths from January through October 2025 and examines the systems, risk factors, and policies shaping these tragedies. It highlights the urgent need for stronger firearm dispossession enforcement, expanded trauma-informed services, and sustained investment in prevention.
